Do members get priority scheduling?

Ask the office to put priority or same-day booking in the agreement if that is offered. A.R. Mechanical already prioritizes no-heat calls in winter. A member on file is easier to schedule because the equipment make and model are already known.

Will membership prevent no-heat emergencies?

It prevents the common ones. Most January no-heat calls in North Bay are a dirty flame sensor, a weak igniter, a clogged filter, or a lockout that a fall tune-up would have caught. It cannot stop a 20-year-old heat exchanger from cracking. Members still call (705) 472-6117 if the system fails between visits.

Is there a commercial or industrial membership?

Yes. The same Membership Program is offered for businesses of any size, including offices, rentals, shops, and light industrial buildings with rooftop units, packaged units, and boilers. A commercial schedule can include a pre-winter heating inspection and a spring cooling inspection.

Does the membership include filter changes?

The tune-up includes checking and replacing the filter at the visit if a standard filter is due. Homes and shops still need filters checked every 1–3 months between visits. A dusty shop or a house with pets may need monthly changes that are not part of the annual visit.

Does membership include repairs and parts?

Membership is planned maintenance, not an all-parts warranty. Worn igniters, capacitors, and other failed parts are quoted before they are replaced. Ask the office whether members receive a diagnostic or repair discount. That term should be in the agreement, not assumed.

What is included in a membership tune-up?

A heating tune-up covers the heat exchanger and flue, flame sensor and igniter, gas pressure and combustion, safety controls, blower, filter, thermostat, and condensate drain. A cooling tune-up covers the filter, coils, condenser, condensate drain, refrigerant pressures, capacitors, contactor, and thermostat. Gas work is done by a licensed gas technician.

How often is equipment serviced on the plan?

Heating equipment should be inspected once a year, ideally in early fall, and cooling equipment once a year in spring. A heat pump is checked at the same visit so both heating and cooling modes are tested. Confirm how many visits your membership includes when you enroll.

What equipment does the membership cover?

The plan is built around the heating and cooling equipment A.R. Mechanical services: furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air conditioners, rooftop units, packaged units, and the airflow checks that go with them. Water heaters, duct cleaning, and repairs are booked separately unless the office has included them in your agreement.

Who is the membership for?

It is for homeowners and for businesses of any size. A house, a rental building, an office, and a shop can all be put on a schedule. Multi-site owners can ask to have more than one North Bay property on the same plan.

What is the A.R. Mechanical Membership Program?

The Membership Program is a planned maintenance agreement for homes and businesses in North Bay and the surrounding area. It schedules inspections and tune-ups so furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air conditioners, and related equipment are checked before peak season instead of after a breakdown. Call (705) 472-6117 or email admin@ar-mechanical.ca for current terms.
